L’ANSE — The 25th anniversary Lake Superior Performance Rally concludes today in Baraga and Houghton counties.

Automobile rallies date back 70 years to the Press On Regardless Series that evolved into the current event.

Action begins at 9 a.m. with first car out for the Parc Expose on Keweenaw Bay at the L’Anse Waterfront Park. Racers take to roads in Baraga County with service at L’Anse High School and spectators’ views best available in the Arvon-Silver stage.

The race wraps up in downtown Houghton for the Lakeshore Drive stage that begins at 5:05 p.m. and closing out at the winner’s podium and champagne spray before the awards banquet that wraps up the 2019 championship series of the American Rally Association.
