The 14th annual Iron Oars Regatta was held Sunday morning on Teal Lake in Ishpeming and Negaunee.

Two-mile races began on lake’s western shore near the Al Quaal Recreation Area in Ishpeming and ended in Negaunee.

Teen, adult and college races were held, the latter invovling Northern MIchigan and Michigan Tech universities. There were boats that included two, four and eight rowers.

“It’s the ultimate team sport because everything has to move together,” event organizer Deb Jean said.
