Softball pitching clinic at Bay College next week

ESCANABA — The Bay de Noc Community College softball team will host a pitching clinic for two days next week at its field in Escanaba.

Instruction with Norse pitching coach Lesle Delvaux and others on the Bay College coaching staff takes place for youngsters from ages 7-10 next Wednesday and for ages 11-17 on Thursday, July 25. Each day’s session runs from 4-7 p.m. at the Bay College Softball Field, located at the Wells Sports Complex.

Cost is $45 per participant with each pitcher needing to supply her own catcher. Each session is limited to 30 participants.

Delvaux, an all-state softball player at Escanaba High School in 2003 and 2004, played NCAA Division 1 softball at Michigan State University from 2004-08 and is in the Spartans’ all-time top 10 in career wins, innings pitched, complete games, shutouts and strikeouts.

She has more than a decade experience as a private and pro pitching coach.
