ISHPEMING — The family-themed Run/Walk for the Red, White and Blue will be held in mid-June in Ishpeming.

This event, a fundraiser for the Ishpeming VFW and its veterans’ programs, will be held the morning of Saturday, June 15, commencing on the Iron Ore Heritage Trail at Third Street and proceeding east.

Registration, bib pickup and T-shirt distribution will be held at the Ishpeming VFW Post building from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. with a cost of $20 for adults ages 16 and over and $10 for students under 16 with a discount of $5 for Upper Peninsula Road Runners Club members.

An awards ceremony will be held at the VFW post, which will includes refreshments available to participants and their families.

Entry forms are available at the Ishpeming Chamber of Commerce located on U.S. 41, the Ishpeming VFW at 310 Bank St. in Ishpeming and the Iron Range Insurance Agency on Main Street in Ishpeming.
