MARQUETTE — Seven golfers qualified Sunday in both the Senior Club and Ladies Club championships at the Marquette Golf Club.

The seven who qualified join the defending champion for an eight-player field this weekend.

In the Senior Club Championship, Jon Kamps shot 75 to win by four strokes and join defending champion Rob Carlson.

The other qualifiers and their scores are Jim Higgins and Steve Elzinga, 79; Kenn Hruska, George Trujillo and Ed Grimes, 80; and Rick Hartzell, 82.

In the opening round, it will be Carlson vs. Hartzell and Elzinga vs. Hruska in the upper bracket, and Kamps vs. Trujillo and Higgins vs. Grimes in the lower brackets. Matches will be played on the Greywalls course.

Jenny Marietta and Karla McCutcheon each shot 85 for the best scores in the Ladies Club Championship qualifying. They will join defending champion Sue Micklow.

Other qualifiers and their scores are Jan Hruska, 87; Nicole Noble, 89; Kristen Bjorne, 95; Kris Saint-Onge, 105; and Dagmar Raica, 109.

In the opening round, it will be Micklow vs. Raica and Hruska vs. Noble in the upper bracket and Marietta vs. Saint-Onge and McCutcheon vs. Bjorne in the lower bracket.
