Cody Clepper wins Red Fox Open golf tournament
K.I. SAWYER — Cody Clepper won the Red Fox Open that was held at the Red Fox Run Golf Course at K.I. Sawyer Aug. 4-5.
Clepper shot 139 over two days, posting 18-hole totals of 67 and 72, as golfers from several states participated in this popular event that is listed as the only two-day medal-play tournament in the Upper Peninsula.
Clepper beat out Chris Rhoades, who had 71-70–141 for his two rounds, while Scott Prunick was third in the championship flight with 72-72–144.
Morgan Rhoades shot 188 on rounds of 96 and 92 for the first-ever women’s division title in the tourney.
