NEGAUNEE — One of the players listed in Wednesday’s Mining Journal sports story as unable to attend this week’s reunion of the 1957 Negaunee High School boys basketball state championship team actually died 25 years ago.

Organizer Roland “Foo” Koski discovered the status of Richard Ellis on Wednesday, too late for the story. He died in 1992, and according to Koski, had been living in Skandia and is buried in Marquette.
