The Marquette Senior High School boys and girls cross country teams successfully defended their Great Northern Conference titles at the league meet held at North Shore Golf Course near Menominee on Oct. 11. The boys won the title for the fourth consecutive time while the girls have an amazing string of 17 straight championships. Both teams won in a runaway as the Marquette boys scored 32 points to 76 for runner-up Stephenson, while the Redettes had just 23 points to 68 for second-place Gladstone.
