Ishpeming High School head varsity football coach Jeff Olson addresses a crowd numbering in the hundreds that gathered Sunday evening in the school gym to honor the Hematites for winning the MHSAA?Division 7 state championship at Ford Field in Detroit on Saturday. In a talk that drew applause on numerious ocassions, the 24th-year head coach in Ishpeming thanked his players, the community, his family and his coaches for helping propel the Hematites to their third state championship in the past four years.
