MSHS spikers post win

MARQUETTE – The Marquette Senior High School volleyball Redettes picked up a home victory over Menominee in four sets on Thursday.

Marquette won 27-25, 25-13. 21-25, 25-13.

Terese Ledy led the Redettes with eight kills, while Haylee Bell had six aces and 19 digs. Erica Cousineau added 28 assists.

The Redettes came back to win the first set thanks to some strong serving and good defensive coverage, head coach Mike Morgan said.

“The team fought hard and played with confidence all night,” Morgan said.

“We had contributions from every single player tonight.”

The Redettes won the JV match in two sets (no scores available).
