K.I. SAWYER – Whether or not it helped his league score that evening, Dean Larson of Palmer made a practice round pay off in a big way on Thursday afternoon at Red Fox Run Golf Course.

Larson recorded his first hole-in-one at the 90-yard fourth hole using a 9-iron during a nine-hole round where he shot 40 on regulation holes.

The practice was for the Thursday Couples League that evening with his hole-in-one witnesses – wife Sue and friends Cal and Sis Prout.

This was the third ace this season at the course and the second on regulation holes. Each of the first two were recorded by Ken Robie, one each on a regulation hole and on one of Red Fox’s alternate oversized cups and shortened holes.
