Cavin sinks hole-in-one

MARQUETTE – A Marquette man picked up his first-ever hole-in-one while golfing Monday at Gentz’s Homestead Golf Course in Chocolay Township.

Mark Cavin of Marquette used a 9-iron to sink his shot on the No. 2 hole. The hole is 130 yards long and a par-3.

Witnesses to the hole-in-one were Al Dahlstrom, Henry Niemi and Brett Scheiding.
