Hill, McLaughlin homer in River Rock’s victory
ISHPEMING — Alyssa Hill and Delaney McLaughlin both homered to help River Rock squeak past Dave’s Collision/Jack’s 17-16 in a Class A game played in the Iron Range Women’s Softball League on July 29. In this, the 10th week of the summer season, Melanee Maddock hit a triple for Dave’s/Jack’s. In another “A” contest, Ellie Miller went 4 for 4 with a triple and double to lead Phil and Lee’s past Jasper Ridge Brewery 24-9.
