MARQUETTE — The Northern Michigan University women’s wrestling team is ranked 11th nationally in the latest poll conducted by The Open Mat.

The Wildcats’ Marisa Roth has a ranking of fourth in the 143-pound class, while teammates Noelle Gaffney at 155 pounds and Abigale Swanson are also ranked.

Roth has a record of 9-1 in tournaments this season as she was third with a 5-1 mark at the Pointer Open at Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Nov. 4.

Gaffner has a 13-2 record, including a perfect 5-0 mark that led to victory at the Adrian Invitational at downstate Adrian College on Nov. 11-12.

Swanson has a 12-6 win-loss total, which includes 4-2 at the Pointer Open where she was fourth.
