The university released the schedule earlier this month as it features seven home games among 15 total that include 10 in the GLIAC and a half-dozen against NCAA Division II tournament teams.
Last fall, the Wildcats finished at 5-8-4, including 4-5-3 in the conference and a fifth-place finish in the regular season. NMU fell at Purdue Northwest 2-0 in the opening quarterfinal round of the league tourney.
Among the players returning should be 2022’s top four scorers Tommaso Lami, Cian Tunney, Baruc Delgado and Jan Hoffmann, along with other scorers Philipp Rimmler and Triston Nelson.
Northern opens the season at home for two nonconference games during the extended Labor Day weekend. The Wildcats host Northwood at noon on Thursday, Aug. 31, before taking on Quincy at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 3.

NMU hits the road for two more games out of conference at Lewis in Romeoville, Illinois, on Sept. 7 and at Thomas More in Crestview Hills, Kentucky, on Sept. 10.
Northern opens the GLIAC campaign at home when the Wildcats host Davenport at noon on Friday, Sept. 15, then entertain league foe Saginaw Valley State at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 17.
Following that is a season-long four-game road trip, three in the conference, with games at Purdue NW on Sept. 22, Wisconsin-Parkside on Sept. 24, nonconference Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Sept. 28 and GLIAC opponent St. Cloud State on Oct. 1.
The Wildcats return home for three of their final five games.
They host Parkside at 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, and Purdue NW at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 8, then hit the road at SVSU on Oct. 13 and Davenport on Oct. 15.
