Northern Michigan University has another women’s basketball game postponed tonight
MARQUETTE — Northern Michigan University has lost its third straight women’s basketball game, not on the scoreboard, but to health and safety guidelines likely attributable to the coronavirus.
The Wildcats were scheduled to play tonight in University Center between Saginaw and Bay City against Saginaw Valley State. The schools will try to find a makeup date for the game.
The accompanying men’s game that was originally scheduled for 8 p.m. has been moved into the women’s time slot of 6 p.m. and will be broadcast on radio station WUPT 100.3 FM The Point.
NMU will continue its trip south after tonight with games in Detroit against Wayne State on Saturday afternoon.
