FELCH — It took five sets for the North Dickinson Nordics volleyball team, but they defeated Superior Central 25-19, 18-25, 25-14, 23-25, 15-7, Thursday night in a Skyline Central Conference match.

“We played scrappy, and we had a really big night at the net,” ND coach Taylor Johnson said. “Superior Central hit the ball very well.”

Johnson added that the Nordics three captains played outstanding: Ashton Hord, Kassandra Cary and Chrislyn Inglese.

Cary had 15 kills and 18 blocks. Hord was very active — six kills, 11 digs 24 of 25 serving. Inglese contributed nine kills, seven blocks and seven digs.

“Overall, it was a great team win. Communication was great tonight. We tried some new things tonight and learned some new things about our team,” Johnson said.

SC won the JV match in three sets, 25-23, 9-25, 15-9.
