ISHPEMING — All athletic events in the Ishpeming Public Schools have been postponed or canceled until further notice, the school district announced in a brief news release on Thursday.

That is part of the school district canceling in-person learning for two weeks, starting today and lasting through Friday, Oct. 30, according to outgoing IHS athletic director Terry Roberts.

The release about sports mentioned that the cancellations took effect Thursday evening.

The district already canceled its high school varsity football season before the restart of fall sports due to low numbers.
