GWINN — Gwinn held off a late Ishpeming rally for a five-set volleyball victory at home on Tuesday evening.

The Modeltowners prevailed 25-9, 25-16, 23-25, 18-25, 15-10 in this Mid-Peninsula Conference and West PAC clash that had beej recently added to the schedule.

Statistics were available only for Ishpeming as Olivia Corp and Madison McNab led the Hematites’ offensive effort with seven kills apiece while Megan Racine had six and Faith Loman four.

Racine also had four service aces without an error, while McNab, Rylee Harris and Emily Morton added two each.

Hanna DeLoughary was a defensive stalwart with 23 digs.
