Ishpeming pulls off 8-0 high school girls tennis win at Norway

ISHPEMING — The Ishpeming High School girls tennis team swept Norway 8-0 in a match played at the Knights’ courts on Wednesday.

No. 1 singles player Ella Luke and her sister, No. 2 Isabel Luke each came from behind to win their matches for the Hematites.

Senior teammate Jocelynn Nyman was cited by coach Kaitlin Rich for serving several aces at No. 2 doubles while also encouraging teammates.

“My girls were very proud and excited,” Rich said in an email.
