EBEN — The regular season is winding down for the Munising boys basketball team, but the Mustangs aren’t showing any signs of slowing down as they jumped out to an early lead and cruised to a 56-23 win over Superior Central.

Isaac Cooper led Munising with 11 points, while Sam Brown and Jesse Duran both chipped in 10 points.

Parker Maki was the Cougars’ offensive leader with nine points.

The Mustangs led 16-5 after one quarter and 29-16 at the half. After a low-scoring third quarter, Munising finished strong, outscoring SC 20-3 in the fourth.

Munising heads to Mid Peninsula Friday.
