TRAVERSE CITY — The Marquette boys basketball was dealt a tough loss Friday night as the Redmen fell downstate to Traverse City Central 65-55.

Ty Lotterman led Marquette with 20 points, while John Thomson had 15 points and Kameron Karp had 12.

The Redmen trailed by 10 after the first quarter at 19-9 and were down 38-21 at halftime. Marquette tried to fight back in the second half, but the gap was too much to overcome.

Marquette will try to bounce back today when it travels to Traverse City West.
