MARQUETTE — Northern Michigan University’s Oct. 12 football game against its Upper Peninsula rival Michigan Tech was chosen to be showcased on NCAA social media.

The NCAA media agreement is intended to promote Division II sports on several platforms as a part of a hybrid model with the flexibility to be distributed on TV and online. Games will not only be shown on TV, but through the NCAA Division II Facebook page — facebook.com/ncaadivisionii — and Twitter — @NCAADII — along with conference and school digital network.

And the game, to be played at MTU’s Sherman Field in Houghton, will be televised in the Upper Peninsula on either WLUC-TV6 for Fox-U.P.
