Northern Michigan University women’s golfer Caro Els makes it to NCAA finals
OWENSBORO, Ky. — Wednesday was an important day in the history of the Northern Michigan University women’s golf program as junior Caro Els became the first Wildcat to advance to the NCAA Division II Championships.
Els finished 9-over par with a total score of 225 at the three-day NCAA East Regional, which tied her for sixth place. The top four individuals not associated with the top four finishing teams earn a spot at the five-day nationals, which start Tuesday in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
