NMU’s Caro Els ties for 36th at nationals

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — Northern Michigan University junior women’s golfer Caro Els is the first player in program history to compete at the NCAA Division II National Championships and she finished stroke play Thursday tied for 36th out of 95 golfers.

She started the tournament by shooting a 75 and on the second day, she shot a 83. She then closed out the third day with an 81 and a total score of 239.

Els finished the tournament second overall among GLIAC golfers.
