MARQUETTE — Marquette Senior High School might not have been the host at this volleyball tournament, but the final result turned out the same at Saturday’s Northern Michigan University High School Invitational as it did two weeks earlier at the Redette Rumble.

The Redettes had a perfect day at NMU, winning all 12 sets it played, including a 25-19, 25-18 victory over Carney-Nadeau in the championship match.

MSHS opened knockout play with a 25-13, 25-16 win over Ishpeming in the quarterfinals before taking out Superior Central 25-22, 25-21 in the semifinals.

In pool play, Marquette dropped C-N 25-23, 25-11; Bark River-Harris 25-8, 25-12; and Bessemer 25-16, 25-12.
