Upper Peninsula-based tennis team wins Northern Michigan women’s tennis district title

A team comprised mostly of Upper Peninsula women beat out five other teams for district championship in the 18-and-over women's division for the Northern Michigan Tennis Association from April 7-9 at the Grand Traverse Resort near Traverse City and May 5-7 at Bay Tennis in Harbor Springs. The team won four of its five matches each weekend, and in so doing, will represent the Northern District at the state finals in August.
