The Marquette Senior High School figure skating B team won its district tournament, narrowly defeating Houghton. The MSHS C team was runner-up, barely losing to Houghton. The Marquette B team was first in jumps and moves and second in spins, while the C team was second in jumps and third in moves and spins. Pictured are members of the two teams, which includes on the B team, Clare Belkowski, Jasmine Burke, Emily Helgren, Emily Johnson, Faith Perala, Sydney Rehmann and Janel Voss; and on the C team Grace Charmley, Mari Davis, Kelsey Freeman, Hailey Mankee and Delaney Thunell. The teams travel to Rochester Hills for state championships on March 25-26. This self-funded team is looking for sponsors.
