North Central’s high school boys basketball winning streak now longest in nation

POWERS — North Central is riding the longest boys’ basketball winning streak in the state — make that the nation.

The Jets pounded Menominee 64-42 Tuesday night for their 69th straight victory. And a recent story in USA Today reports this likely is the longest current streak in the country after two teams out west were beaten Saturday.

Federal Way in Washington had its 63-game win streak snapped and Chino Hills of California lost to Oak Hill Academy, Virginia, 95-91 to break its 60-game winning streak.
