MSHS ski teams earn victories

NORWAY — The Marquette boys and girls Alpine ski teams picked up victories at a competition at Norway Mountain.

The Redmen finished first in the giant slalom with 15 points, 10 in front of second place Ironwood and also won the slalom with 15 points. Marquette swept the first three individual spots in the races with Brad Seaborg winning both. Drew Thomas and Eric Gencheff finished second and third respectively in the slalom and flipped places in the giant slalom.

The Redettes won the giant slalom with 17 points, five ahead of Houghton, and one the slalom with 14 points. Marquette’s Natalie Robinia finished second in both events.

Redettes Amelia Cole and Jenna Miller took third and fourth in the slalom, while Miller finished fourth in the GS and Cole took fifth.
