IRON MOUNTAIN — Ethan Wallner won a pair of individual events but it wasn’t quite enough to get a win for the Ishpeming-Negaunee boys at a high school swimming and diving meet against Kingsford on Tuesday.

The Flivvers prevailed 74-69 while also taking the girls meet 85-70.

Wallner won the 200-yard freestyle in 2 minutes, 1.70 seconds and the 500 free in 5:59.93. The I-N 200 free relay also won in 1:51.83, though names of the swimmers weren’t available.

Kingsford’s Caleb Plumley and Shane Brooks were double winners, Plumley taking the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke and Brooks the 50 free and 100 free.

In the girls meet, I-N’s Delany McLaughlin won the 100 butterfly in 1:25.72 for her team’s lone victory.

The Flivvers had three double winners — Ailie Schoenborn in the 200 and 500 free, Toni DeMerse in the 50 free and 100 backstroke and Hailey Johnson in the 100 free and 100 breast.
