Writer promotes biblical worldview

To the Journal editor,

September is the third month since July 4, celebrating the 250th anniversary of our Declaration of Independence. Making that declaration took a lot of courage. And knowledge. And faith. And wisdom for the future.

Our Founding Fathers weren't ignorant. They knew about the Protestant Reformation that began in Europe with Martin Luther, around Oct. 31, 1517. Fast forward to 1776. Thomas Jefferson and the others knew that according to the first chapters of Genesis, God created the earth and then He created mankind in His image to dwell in it. But Adam disobeyed God and sinned and died spiritually, taking all future mankind with him, falling like dominoes.

Is there an answer? What were the Founding Fathers, including Thomas Jefferson and his fellow patriots, doing for America? They were protecting the rights of their children and of all the people in the new nation from something, and to something. From the tyranny of England and of the Church of England and from the natural, nonspiritual thinking of this present evil age. To the salvation that is only available in the savior, Jesus Christ.

Fast-forward again to 50+ years ago, when a young woman named Georgia shared the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ and the gift of Holy Spirit with my wife and I, and we said yes. And we began feasting on the word of God, which then began changing our lives. Man is a three-part being; spirit, soul and body, in that order. Early September, Georgia, her inner man, her spirit-man, who will live forever, departed earth for Heaven. I thank God that Thomas Jefferson and his fellow patriots protected our friend Georgia's right to share the gospel of Christ with my wife and I.

Would socialism/communism/Karl-Marxism protect our rights? No, it would deny them, as it was doing before Elon Musk bought Twitter (now X), for about $50 billion and began exposing their lies. The history of every socialist nation also tells us so, as does every legal immigrant from those socialist nations.

And, what about Islam expanding in Michigan? Do the Islamic and non-Islamic citizens in Dearborn and Dearborn Heights and Hamtramck still have those unalienable rights the declaration declares, over all the people of this nation, by our Creator-of Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness?
