To the Journal editor:
The Heritage Foundation, a right wing organization, conducted a 25-year study of alleged voter fraud and found less than 100 cases. Our Republican state senator investigated voter fraud claims in 2020 and found that our elections are secure. Look it up.
I vote absentee because a ballot is mailed to me well in advance of the election, giving me plenty of time to look into the proposals and candidates on the ballot. If you’re concerned about slow mail, you can drop in your designated drop box or bring it to your polling site.
If you have questions, your county, township or city clerks are happy to help.
Another way to feel confident in the security of our elections is to volunteer. Both parties are involved in this process so I don’t believe all accusations of fraud. Your vote is your power so be counted.
