To the Journal editor:
Like many of you, I have grown frustrated with the corruption and chaos of Trump and his Republican enablers in Congress, the U.S. Supreme Court and Big Business. If voting wasn’t important, these same people wouldn’t be trying every trick in the book to take away our right to vote including attempts to stop mail-in voting.
Are we better off now with soaring gas/diesel, food and medical insurance prices than we were before Trump’s return to office? Is America really great again?
Every vote is important. Your vote matters more than ever. The stakes are very high. Take action and use your right to vote.
In this election we can make some real change by electing Abdul El-Sayed to the Senate and passing Proposal 2, the Michigan Money Out of Politics proposal. Up and down the ballot there are many other candidates and issues we can support that put people first. No candidate is perfect. It would be nice if we had more options. Some day we will.
The Democratic/Republican party races are so close that votes for third party/independent candidates will not help at all. Any vote for a third party/independent candidate is a vote for continuing corruption and chaos.
The ballot has 3 sections: Partisan, non-partisan and proposal.
For the partisan section, make it easy on yourself and check the box for straight party ticket: Democratic Party. Then vote each item in the non-partisan and proposal sections.
Your ballot is two-sided so be sure to vote on the front and back sides.
