This November, Marquette County residents have a rare and exciting opportunity to select the next 96th District Court judge to succeed Judge Roger Kangas. This position requires the right person with the right work experience, community involvement, vision and character. I know this individual to be Patrick Crowley, Chief Public Defender for Marquette County.
As a Marquette County resident and fellow attorney, I have come to experience firsthand the strengths and weaknesses of the 96th District Court. There are many great things about the Court and its staff, but there are also things that require immediate attention and improvement.
Doing the same failed things with the same people in charge because "that's the way it's always been done" is not a sustainable response to any problem, including the obstacles facing the 96th District Court. Patrick Crowley possesses the proven ability, drive and support to make the 96th District Court a true "people's court."
If Marquette County residents want to ensure the ongoing success of the 96th District Court, please get out this November and vote for Patrick Crowley. Patrick will work tirelessly for Marquette County, day in and day out, and will always challenge the status quo for the betterment of the community.
