Something’s happening here
To the Journal editor:
Where there’s thunder, lightning will follow. Loud thunder can be indicative of how close it is. And the one Mississippi, two M… count is a sort of measure of how near lightning will strike.
Thunderstorms and lightning can be exciting to hear and view from a sheltered environment. Lightning has been recognized as an electric current that gives gardeners a nitrogen boost or starts a fire. Either way, being literally struck by lightning is not in one’s best interest.
The lie detectors have been sounding the alarm with increased frequency. The garden — this experiment for our democracy — we have tended and weeded is at risk of being burned to the ground and whatever rain falls will wash away whatever debris is left.
Meanwhile, the unpatriotic enablers of lies, the communication style of the squatter in our house, shelter with food and health and incomes aplenty. And for entertainment, allowing a war of choice and show of dominance and obsession to rage on causing alienation and destruction.
The losses are stark aftershocks.
