Neighbors helping neighbors
To the Journal editor:
Messiah Lutheran Church has maintained a Community Assistance Fund for several years and as the needs in our community grow, so does the need for growing this fund. This year, we will exceed $50,000 contributed to help over 320 families.
The majority of this funding comes from our Giving Tuesday event. We invite our caring Marquette community to join us on Dec. 2 between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. to help us help our neighbors by making a contribution. Food, fellowship and a chance to win raffle prizes are on the agenda.
