Letter to D.C.

Dear Don,

Yes, this is one of those kinds of letters. A conversation/discussion or negotiation has not been possible. Your uncontrollable rants of your way or the highway are about you and what you want, period.

At the outset, you spoke about valuing values/American values no less. Which of those values were you referring to? You’ve trusted someone having material wealth (read billionaire) with the financial responsibility of a vast economic infrastructure. What has been wonderful is all of us were doing OK in our own bumbling way to continue to grow and improve, before you came along. Now not so good and quite awful for many.

Public name calling, censoring and suing of anyone expressing more opinions and thoughts outside of your limited circle is most appealing.

If we were woke before, we are 24/7 wide awake now.

About all of us (including you) are either descendants of immigrants or are immigrants of our own volition or by force. This land has been home to First Nations People along with the life here before new arrivals. Now that we’re here oughtn’t we be grateful?…(ponder that). This country has never lost it’s soul. We’ve had the arts all along. Tariffs are tarnishing our worth. Taking credit for the foundations of and good work done before you and casting blame to sherk decisions to come up with solutions only conveys that you strive to impress others that only you have the power to control and define the truth.

Actual assessments of help given are petty enough without making up an elevated amount. Wanting more is a human shared feeling. Wanting more and more is obsessive. From merch for money, litigation settlement demands, a ballroom and an unending list, all for you!

Superficially what you promote looks as good as a well-groomed race horse ready to go. Every possible component, who’s riding and what other horses are on the track has been taken into consideration.

Mentioning climate must’ve been a one off. Only to nod “A beautiful day. It was so beautiful. As if the sun always shines on you.

Donald, I know you probably shot a basket with this “Dear Don” letter within the first sentence. As far as you’re concerned, the only information worth paying attention to is that which pays you. You don’t know or love us. Those close to you can be bullied, dismissed, fired, investigated, have a lawsuit brought against them and dropped like a hot potato.

This relationship isn’t working. Yet, it is annoying to know, your sidekicks are waiting in the wings to fill your vacancy.
