Every evening, after watching the news or reading the paper, I think, ‘Thank goodness this day is over… things can’t possibly get worse tomorrow.’

Every day I’m shocked that things do get worse. The most recent incident that has me shaken is the raid in Chicago. At 1 a.m. on Oct. 2, FBI, ATF and border patrol agents rappelled from Blackhawk helicopters to the roof of an apartment building. Using flash-bang grenades they broke down the doors of the residents, pulled them from their homes and zip tied them (some were naked), leaving them outside for hours.

Children were also rounded up and zip tied together. Children! During the course of this an agent was overheard saying, **** the kids.’ I am not making this up! This happened in Chicago, Illinois in the United States of America!!

Regardless of who you voted for, this is not right. This is not American. We can do better and I have to believe that these horrendous actions of the current administration can be stopped, but we must ALL do our parts. Please join in the peaceful demonstration in Marquette of NO KINGS 2.0 on Oct. 18, 10:30-noon along the U.S. 42 corridor near Wendy’s.
