When will we ever learn?
To the Journal editor:
This refrain echos in my head often these days as we hear of gun violence way too often in our country. I am reminded of an anti-war song written by Pete Seeger and sung by Peter, Paul and Mary, that was popular during the 60s.
“Where Have All The Flowers Gone” is a poignant folk song about war and violence and its impact on individuals and societies. Each verse ends with the phrase, “When will we ever learn?”
In our country today, we have more guns than people. We keep trying to figure out ways to curb the senseless tragedies that destroy lives and keep us all on edge. It’s the guns people! “When will we ever learn?”
