I am writing to suggest our elected officials are the ones destroying our country. Does not matter whether they are Democrats or Republican; they are both failing us.

When it comes to priorities, I feel their priorities should be:

1. The country should come 1st and any new law or budget should put country first.

2. Next our elected officials’ priorities should be their constituent.

3. After 1 and 2 are fulfilled, they could address everything else.

The problem seems to be our elected officials seem to put keeping their jobs as priority number 1. If you are an elected official and are afraid of losing your job there is no way you can do what is best for our Country.

I say this because Republicans with zero input from Democrats are trying to pass a budget that is estimated to keep a trillion-dollar deficits into the future. A lot of U.S. citizens are saying we need to address our deficit problem. The world is telling us we need to address our deficit problem. Both Republicans and Democrats are ignoring this problem. The budget currently being proposed is estimated to raise our deficit by 3 to 5 trillion. One of the reasons is the proposed budget will both increase spending and decrease revenue.

If you agree with what I am saying, contact your representative and senator to get them to put the United States ahead of their fear of losing his or her job.
