Thanks for the memories
To the Journal editor:
Because of my friend Tom Izzo, I had the honor and privilege to serve as honorary coach for Michigan State University in the Superior Dome showdown with Northern Michigan University.
So many friends, family and former players of mine reached out to me through phone calls, text messages, emails, Facebook and face-to-face to tell me how happy they were for me. To all of you, I say, “Thank you.”
I have been blessed in so many ways in my lifetime and this was another once-in-a-lifetime thrill! Thanks again to all of you. May God bless you.
