To the Journal editor:

Karl Bohnak wants to help us yet again! For over 30 years as TV-6’s weatherman, Karl helped us plan our days through his forecasts. He made sense of the weather for the entire Upper Peninsula, a difficult challenge since it is surrounded by the three largest Great Lakes.

Karl analyzed meteorological data, summarized it, applied his judgment, and gave us his forecasts. Moreover, from spring peepers, to summer sunshine, fall colors, and winter snowstorms, Karl loves the U.P.! There is no one better to be our Michigan State House Representative for the 109th District.

With the aid of your vote, we will send Karl to Lansing to make sense of the political winds just as he made sense of the winds off the Great Lakes!

Incidentally, whoever is responsible for the negative campaign ads about Karl should be ashamed of themselves. Real Yoopers are better than that! Besides, we all know that Karl Bohnak is a decent, honest man.

Even from those that disagree with his views, he deserves respect.
