Landscape littered

To the Journal editor:

You can tell there is an election coming soon. Brochures in the mail, advertising on the media and one other called yard signs.

The original purpose of a yard sign was to show support for a candidate by displaying a sign on your property. Now, some candidates put yard signs at intersections and along roadways.

Is this because they do not have supporters willing to back the candidate in public? Maybe the name of the yard signs should be changed to intersection signs?

Personally, I feel that a person running for office showing such irresponsibility to be so willy nilly that candidate, if elected would have the same tactics and attitude toward the community they are in.

Maybe we should change the name of yard signs to intersection signs? There are some limitations and ordinations in some communities in regard to how and where such signs are to be placed, so don’t be surprised if a call is placed educating the candidate about their political littering.

Starting at $3.23/week.
