To the Journal editor:

Some words of encouragement to start out the year 2024.

Not much winter weather so far, only a little snow and soon days will be getting longer. By (this time) at least an hour or so of more daylight.

We are now heading into spring rather than winter. Some good advice — don’t watch the news too much. It’s mostly bad.

Try to get out when you can, even if it’s not cold. Wear warm clothes. Also, phone or visit family and friends instead of texting or emailing. Most health magazines I get say to do that.

But most of all if you choose to follow the spitiual path, trust in the Lord’s love and many blessings that He sends like decent health, good vision, hearing and a roof over your head plus food to eat

So, for me, I choose the Lord’s way. Be ready for all things that come my way in 2024. God’s blessings each day and happy new year!
