Event a success
To the Journal editor:
The Marquette County Crop Hunger Walk was held on Oct. 1. The day was warm and 30 people walked around the Northern Michigan University campus.
The Crop Walk did raise $5,995.00, of which 25% will stay local and go to the St. Vincent De Paul food bank and the NMU food bank.
We would like to thank our sponsor, the Marquette Food Co-op and thanks to all the churches that collected funds and all the people that walked to remind people of food insecurity in our area.
