Our changing times

To the Journal editor:

Just some things about how times have changed. Think of the technology changes. Most calls one gets is a recording and not a real person and the use of computers, cell phones, etc. is the going way.

An article in the Washington Post tells of a 15 year old girl sent and received 6,473 cell phone text messages in a single month. She said more or less she could not live without it.

U.S. teens average 2,200 cell phone messages a month. Pretty soon, not much personal contact or even writing a letter.

I’ve read in health letters I get is to get away from our computer and get out and see people or write a note now and then or a phone call to talk on the phone.

How about the extreme weather changes? Hotter weather coming more pollution of our air, water and even cutting more of our forests and even some farmland to build more homes, etc. If it continues, times will be more difficult than now.

Hope we can change our ways and save our earth. We only have the one our good Lord provided. It’s not God doing the damage, it’s mankind.

So for me, I am moving along agewise and the changes are destructive and for those coming along think about saving this earth. Drive less

Don’t waste food. Conserve water use. Protect our air. If not, be ready for more changing times and they won’t be better.
