The League of Women Voters of Marquette County wants to extend our sincere thanks to the Marquette Board of Light and Power for welcoming our members to your facility on Aug. 29, 2023.

MBLP devoted valuable resources – three extremely competent employees — who patiently and directly answered all our questions!

In addition, your tour of the solar garden, Marquette Energy Center, and the monitoring room was an absolutely perfect choice to give us a glimpse of the front-line operations.

The members learned so much. Gaining a basic knowledge of your structure and operations will help us in our LWVMC mission to increase understanding of major public policy issues.

It truly was a pleasure to be able to visit your facility and meet with the workers. Please convey our thanks and admiration to all your staff, especially Matt Zavislak, Chris Nelson, and Dan McDougell.
