God knows way

To the Journal editor:

I recently wrote about climate change in my last (letter). Well, other changes are taking place. Christie Mastric of your paper, a staff writer, wrote about changes in churches. Many have closed and more on the way.

It’s sad because when I was growing up in the late 1940s and into the 1950s, church was important. It was a family getting together to be on the good side of life. In other words, doing God’s way and with that comes love, caring for each other and honesty.

At least five or more have closed and many others are not getting people to attend. With our country in such a mess, it’s most likely to not improve unless we come back to do God’s way of living. One has to first read his written word in the best book, the holy Bible.

It’s helped me to keep on the right patch and not follow the way of the world. Most know it’s a dangerous time with nuclear weapons that a lot of countries have.

One mistake and so long world. And our U.S. is in sad shape. Can’t seem to work together for the good of all people. How about more truth and honesty? Not much of that either.

Time will tell. I’m on the Lord’s side and it has helped me to be ready for whatever happens. Beyond this life is the promise of our better home called heaven for all who trust in God and know Jesus his son as savior.

No more wars, death, sorrow, etc. A place of peace and love. So I believe in people worshipping together in our churches and keeping us on the right way of life. Just hope for more prayers for our world to change to the way God wants us to be.

One day at a time and trust in the Lord as changes will be coming and hope it’s for the better with God’s blessings.

Starting at $3.23/week.
