Wrong-headed plan

To the Journal editor:

Boondoggle. We’ve seen this before. Some slick-talking character with a self-imposed title shows up with grand schemes and a hand out, looking for cash.

The “Plan” is always full of promise and short on facts and harder to pin down than a two year old.

I am reminded of the great B3 Computers debacle of a decade or so ago. But besides all that, someone thinks it’s a good idea to throw a high speed tube of toxins over the irreplaceable pristine waters of Lake Superior? Repeatedly? Nope. That’s just not going to happen.

At some point, it becomes necessary to understand that the largest repositories of life-sustaining fresh water on the planet can not be put at risk, ever.

So this little bit of greed-driven foolishness needs to get the boot right now before much more time, energy and resources are wasted on it.
